Job summary

A local education authority is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for its special education program. This position requires proficiency in American Sign Language to facilitate communication for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications

  • Georgia Quality Assessment (QA) Certificate in Transliterating and Interpreting LIII or higher.
  • EIPA-L 3.5 or higher certification.
  • RID/NAD Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication among Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and their peers.
  • Interpret all mainstream classes for D/HH students.
  • Participate in IEP meetings as a member of the IEP team.
