Job summary

The St. Cloud Area School District 742 is looking for an American Sign Language Interpreter to facilitate communication for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Interpreter/Transliterator Training Program affiliated with an accredited educational institution.
• Current national interpreter and transliterator certification or a two-year provisional certificate with certification attained prior to expiration.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful classroom communication for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing student.
• Develop a rapport with the classroom teacher and establish open communication with staff.
• Assist in meeting the student’s educational needs and comply with the IEP process.
