Job summary

Global Language System LLC, a provider for a Florida client, seeks an American Sign Language Interpreter for onsite/remote opportunities ensuring accurate ASL/English interpretation across settings.

Responsibilities include conveying thought and spirit of the speaker, maintaining confidentiality, meeting schedules, and collaborating in teams as needed. Certification in NIC, CI, or CT preferred; ADA terminology knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Ability to translate between English and American Sign Language with accuracy and cultural nuance.
• Understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its implications for interpretation services.
• Experience across a range of interpreting settings, including medical, business, and supply chain terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite ASL/English receptive and expressive interpretation, alone or in teams.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in interpreting situations.
• Meet schedules and timelines while conveying content accurately and respectfully.
• Communicate effectively in signing, oral, and written forms.
