Qualificações

• Master's degree in ASL, Sign Language Interpretation, Interpreter Education, Deaf Studies, Linguistics, Education, or related field with 18 graduate hours in the relevant area.
• Current nationally or state recognized interpreting certification (RID NIC / CDI / BEI Advanced) or ASLPI 3+.
• Experience teaching ASL, Sign Language Interpretation, Interpreter Education, or Deaf Studies at the post-secondary level.
• Proven ability to teach ASL/English interpreting and related courses.
• Commitment to equity and serving diverse student populations.

Responsabilidades

• Teach courses in American Sign Language and the Sign Language Interpreter Education program.
• Coordinate curriculum, assess courses, support adjunct faculty, and conduct program review.
• Advise students and collaborate with the Dean on enrollment, staffing, and Perkins-funded projects.
• Maintain licensure/certifications and engage in ongoing professional development.
