Job summary

The Center for Family and Child Enrichment, Inc. offers early intervention services to families with children birth to 3 years old at risk for developmental delays. This role provides in-person interpreting to support communication between families and staff in home and center-based visits.

Responsibilities include scheduling visits, facilitating conversations, and interpreting during intake, evaluation and home visits, with compensation ranging from $25 to $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Verbal fluency in English and language of the population served.
• Interpreting experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for in-person interpreting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person interpreting for families.
• Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff.
• Schedule visits for early intervention staff.
• Provide interpreting services for visits including intake, evaluation and home visits.
