Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is seeking a Float ASL Interpreter to support multiple schools in the area. This part-time role offers 10 hours per week and a W-2 position with pay of $38-$41 per hour.

As an interpreter, you will facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and educators, using sign language, oral interpreting, and captioning to ensure access to educational services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or an educator’s certificate
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf related field
• Experience in a similar position

Responsibilities

• Responsible for facilitating communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and those individuals involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate hearing impaired students who are qualified to receive these services.
