Job summary

Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind - ASDB seeks a Substitute Teacher Deaf/HH to support classrooms at the Oro Valley campus. This temporary role offers As-Needed hours and pays $21.88-$25.00 per hour, with ASL as a key communication mode.

Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction, planning daily lessons, evaluating student progress, and developing IEPs in collaboration with the team. A state teaching certificate and sensory-impairment coursework are required.

Qualifications

• Formal credentialing in education for sensory impairments.
• Endorsement for teaching in Arizona required.
• ACVREP certification allowed for Teacher O&M roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to students.
• Prepare daily lesson plans.
• Evaluate student skills to determine best learning program.
• Write and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• All other duties as assigned.
