Job summary

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma and six months of experience with children.
  • ASLPI level 3 required within 12 weeks of hire.
  • Criminal history background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with classroom tasks and students' plans.
  • Monitor behavior and assist during transitions between classes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Skills

Ability to work with children
Effective communication in ASL
Classroom management
Experience with deaf children

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of college courses in Education
