Qualifications
Must pass Wisconsin DHS-required caregiver background checks.
Patience, empathy, and exceptional active listening skills are essential.
Experience working with clients having developmental disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide two-way American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.
Assist the client in articulating their needs and preferences.
Translate medical discussions and daily interactions into ASL.
Foster environments prioritizing the client’s voice.
Align communication strategies with multidisciplinary teams.
