Beth Aviva Preminger MD PLLC in New York, NY seeks a skilled Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant to support a leading surgeon in a patient-focused practice. You will work closely with the physician to ensure smooth consultations, procedures, and postoperative care.

Responsibilities include room preparation, vital signs, scheduling coordination, injections, wound care, EMR documentation, and patient education.

Competenze

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a surgical specialty strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical office workflows.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, wound care, and post-operative protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Mansioni

• Assist the physician during plastic and reconstructive surgery consultations and in-office procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, surgical trays, and sterile fields.
• Take and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and pre/post-operative instructions.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and surgical prep communications.
• Administer injections, wound care, and post-operative dressing changes as directed.
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems.
• Provide compassionate patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and aftercare.
