Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or surgical specialty preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical office workflows.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, wound care, and post-operative protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during plastic surgery consultations and in-office procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, surgical trays, and sterile fields.
• Take and document patient vitals, medical histories, and pre/post-operative instructions.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and surgical prep communications.
• Administer injections, wound care, and post-operative dressing changes as directed.
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems.
• Provide education regarding procedures, recovery, and aftercare.

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, surgical trays, and sterile fields
• Take and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and pre/post-operative instructions
• Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and surgical prep communications
• Administer injections, wound care, and post-operative dressing changes as directed
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Provide compassionate patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and aftercare

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a surgical specialty strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical office workflows
• Knowledge of sterile technique, wound care, and post-operative protocols
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
