Job summary

Grayslake Endodontics is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our private, patient-centered practice in Grayslake/Hainesville, IL. You’ll work with our endodontists to support root canal and surgical procedures, manage x-ray captures, and keep the workflow smooth by sterilizing instruments and preparing trays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a dental assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training.
• Training kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist endodontists in root canal and surgical procedures.
• Capture intraoral x-rays and CBCT scans.
• Sterilize instruments, turnover rooms, and prepare trays.
• Provide front desk support: answer phones, scheduling, verify insurance, greet patients.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience). Full time (4 days per week)

What You’ll Do

• Partner with our endodontists to assist in root canal and surgical procedures
• Capture intraoral x-rays and 3D CBCT scans
• Keep things flowing smoothly by turning over rooms, sterilizing instruments, and preparing trays
• Jump in with front desk support when needed—answering phones, scheduling, verifying insurance, and welcoming patients with a smile

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year as a dental assistant (required)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control
• Training kept current
• Skills & Qualities:
  • A positive, can-do attitude and great customer service skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Comfort multitasking in a busy environment while staying calm and kind
  • Tech-savvy and ready to learn new programs as needed
