Job summary

First Cash are seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Texas. You will greet customers, assist with sales and pawn services, and help with loan processing while delivering a positive customer experience.

The role offers hourly pay with commissions up to 8%, a daytime schedule typically 9AM–6PM, Sundays closed in many locations, and eligibility-based benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and a 401(k) after 6 months.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age with high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Comfort working with a variety of merchandise (weapons in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and team-oriented mindset
• Basic math and computing skills; experience with retail cash register systems a plus
• Willingness to help customers or reclaim merchandise from exterior areas
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans and product questions
• Assist customers with pawn services and short-term loans by explaining terms, completing documentation and ensuring a customer-centric experience
• Process sales and loan activities accurately following company guidelines and regulations
• Assess merchandise to determine condition and value, supporting purchase/sale/loan decisions
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly
• Support store operations including basic opening/closing tasks
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Complete required training and follow company policies
• Perform other tasks as assigned
