Job summary

Active Health Services is seeking a part-time, per diem Physical Therapy Assistant to provide PT services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in home health and on-site settings. You will help patients with exercises, gait training, and assistive devices in accordance with the plan of care.

You must have PTA certification, state licensure, CPR, and a valid driver’s license. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling and on-the-road patient visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an approved Associate's degree.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Licensed or certified as required by state law.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy under supervision according to plan of care.
• Assist patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and maximize performance.
• Supervise active and passive therapeutic exercises and gait training.
• Apply physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage) as directed.
• Record clinical notes and report changes to the physical therapist.
