East Atlanta Oral Implant & Facial in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will work alongside experienced oral surgeons, assisting with a range of procedures and ensuring patient comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays/3D CBCT scans, documenting records, and educating patients on post-operative care. Strong attention to detail and compassionate communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology.
• Current Dental Radiography (X-ray) certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Familiarity with IV sedation protocols and monitoring is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting.
• Compassionate, professional demeanor with excellent patient communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and facial surgeries.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operatory rooms.
• Monitor and support patient comfort and safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages.
• Take and process dental X-rays and 3D CBCT scans as directed.
• Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in practice management software.
• Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer follow-up questions.
• Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering and stocking.
