Job summary

Oral Surgery Specialists of Oklahoma is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with Surgeons and other Surgical Assistants to prepare patients, explain steps of surgery, assemble instruments, set up the suite, place IVs, sterilize instruments, and recover patients after procedures.

Licensing to practice in Oklahoma is required, and prior surgical experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, with strong communication skills and a true desire to

Qualifications

• Licensure within the state required.
• Strong compassionate personality and desire to help others.
• Experience in a surgical setting desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS certified.
• X-ray certified.
• DAANCE certified (obtain once with the company for 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients and help them prepare for surgery.
• Answer questions and address concerns with patients and their families.
• Prepare the surgical suite and necessary implements ahead of the procedure.
• Assist other Surgical Assistants and Surgeons during the surgical procedure.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate has the required licensing to work in the state, a strong, compassionate personality, and experience in a surgical setting.
