Asian American Studies – Part‑Time Lecturer Pool

The Department of Asian American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced, well‑organized, and student‑centered individuals to teach Intro to Ethnic Studies and other courses in the scope below.

Courses Available

• Intro to Ethnic Studies
• Intro to Asian Pacific American Studies
• Asian American and Pacific Islander History
• Asian Pacific American Cultural/Media Studies
• Asian Pacific American Community Studies
• Asian American Women
• APIDA Families
• Multiple Heritage Studies
• Vietnamese American Studies

Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available. Appointments are temporary and typically made just prior to the start of the academic term; applicants must be available on very short notice.

Required Qualifications

• ABD doctoral candidate or M.A. with substantial graduate coursework in a relevant field
• Evidence of prior teaching, mentoring, or tutoring experience
• Evidence of experience in a relevant academic field or professional/community‑based experience
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide, culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Professional experience that adds value to the program
• Non‑traditional career paths
