Job summary

Ross Stores in Asheville, NC is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations in the absence of the Store Manager. You will supervise Associates, ensure safety, and maintain high standards of merchandising and customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in retail supervision, and comfort with daily store tasks including front-end supervision and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security on the sales floor and back areas.
• Supervise associates and manage store operations when on duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and clean, easy-to-shop environments.
• Execute and supervise company processes as directed by Store Leadership.
• Lead front-end operations to manage lines and customer flow.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and daily administrative duties.
