Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN seeks a Process Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring projects, protocols and activities meet timelines, budgets and quality standards.

You will oversee aseptic processing, filling and packaging equipment, manage capital budgets, drive process optimization, validation activities and SOPs, reporting to the Director of Engineering. Lean principles should guide all tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aseptic manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise software (e.g. JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise).

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance, support, direction and leadership through daily operations (24/7).
• Interviews, hires, coaches, and develops staff.
• Conducts annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
• Manages a team to support aseptic processing, filling and packaging equipment processes.
• Oversee departmental capital equipment budgets, Value Improvement Projects, and equipment/process optimization.
• Ensures department compliance for master change control management and validation protocols.
• Utilize Lean principles to manage tasks within quality, time, safety and budget.
• Oversee timelines for designing specifications, procurement, DOEs, FAT, installation, validation, SOPs and transfer to operations.
