Job summary

Nivagen Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support aseptic and packaging systems in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA, assist with commissioning, and ensure systems meet validation and data integrity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of automation/controls experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting, programming, and system support.
• Experience with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and computerized system validation.
• Experience supporting aseptic fill/finish, packaging, or related pharmaceutical operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary on-site engineering support for automation and control systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA, servo, motion control, and robotics issues.
• Support aseptic formulation, sterile filling, vials, syringes, and packaging equipment.
• Ensure systems comply with GMP, data integrity, and validation requirements.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC/HMI applications per site standards and change controls.
