Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA is seeking a maintenance mechanic for our Melrose Park, IL site. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. Strong reading and write skills, along with PLC/controls experience, are preferred.

The position requires GMP knowledge, aseptic gowning certification (or ability to obtain), and the willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed. Compensation includes an hourly wage with benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a regulated, technical environment.
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematics to complete technical work.
• Ability to apply multiple skilled-trade principles (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance/repairs for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in sterile environments.
• Read blueprints/schematics and apply prints to repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain GMP, safety practices and clean work areas.
