Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Melrose Park, IL is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and systems in a regulated, aseptic environment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, read blueprints and schematics, and ensure cGMP-compliant documentation and safety practices are followed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; apprenticeship certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years maintenance mechanic experience in a regulated technical environment.
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematics to complete technical work.
• Able to interpret prints, schematics and operating manuals.
• Prolonged standing/kneeling and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and systems per SOPs.
• Provide emergency/unplanned repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a sterile environment.
• Read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics to diagnose issues.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and document work performed per cGMP.
