Job summary

Michael Foods, located in West Jefferson, Ohio, is seeking a dependable Production Operator to join our day shift team in a high-speed filling environment. You will follow GMPs, operate and clean equipment, assist in changeovers, monitor quality, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of equipment experience, and the ability to read safety instructions and manuals. Teamwork and attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years operating machinery and GMPs/product specs.
• Experience with SPC (weight control).
• Experience with high-speed filling equipment in food manufacturing.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; strong arithmetic.
• Basic computer knowledge; mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe work practices and GMPs; maintain sanitary conditions and product quality.
• Operate, clean, and assist in preventive maintenance; troubleshoot equipment.
• Plan and lead changeovers for fillers and date coding with proper resources.
• Ensure line operates at maximum efficiency and minimize losses.
• Meet daily production goals and communicate with Pasteurizer Operators and Packaging.
• Participate in safety meetings and trainings; train new hires as required.
