Shift Details

3rd Shift HOURS: 11:00pm - 7:30am; Sunday - Thursday / Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for equipment setup and operation in a biologics processing environment for plasma-derived pharmaceuticals.
  • Class A/B gowning qualified for facility cleaning of fill suites.
  • Operate support fill equipment such as glass inspection stations, rinser/tunnel, VAM, and over sealer. Load carts with vials or syringes.
  • Perform SIP/PBC operations and filter integrity testing.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for production use, adhering strictly to safety rules.
  • Perform material handling and glass inspection activities.
  • Maintain detailed facility housekeeping, including cleaning and ensuring work areas are neat and clutter-free.
  • Conduct sanitization, documentation, and disinfecting of floors, walls, and equipment.
  • Document production activities in real-time (e.g., BPR) and maintain accurate records/logs.
  • Monitor and operate computer control systems such as SCADA and Andover.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties of the Technician level.
  • Qualified to set up and operate fill equipment independently in an aseptic environment, demonstrating department-specific aseptic techniques.
  • Operate and monitor final container lyophilization, heat treatment, pasteurization, and cold box.
  • Operate filter integrity testers.
  • Prepare and label samples according to BPR and non-routine requests, interpreting information from support systems.
  • Assist in training less experienced technicians and maintain aseptic gowning qualification and media fill certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must possess good math and mechanical aptitude, capable of performing skills in an aseptic environment. Experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred. Ability to maintain sterility, work effectively in a team, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform continuous standing, walking, and bending. Off-shift and overtime work may be required.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of highly regulated (FDA, USDA, NRC) manufacturing experience, or a 2- or 4-year college degree, or completion of the Bioworks Certification Program preferred.

Work involves exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical equipment, moving machinery, noise, confined spaces, and requires personal protective equipment. Physical demands include sitting for 4-6 hours, walking, standing, bending, hand movements, lifting 15-44 lbs., and occasional reaching. Good hearing, color perception, and communication skills are essential.
