Job description

Shift and Hours

SHIFT: WEEKENDS - 12 Hr Days

HOURS: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and every other Monday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Levels and Responsibilities
Tech I:
  • Equipment setup and operation in a biologics processing environment for plasma-derived pharmaceuticals.
  • Gowning qualified for facility cleaning of fill suites.
  • Operate support fill equipment such as glass inspection stations, rinser/tunnel, VAM, and over sealer.
  • Load carts with vials or syringes.
  • Perform SIP/PBC Operations and filter integrity testing.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for production use.
  • Adhere to safety rules and perform material handling and glass inspection activities.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and perform sanitization procedures.
  • Operate motorized transport equipment and document production activities in real-time.
Tech II:
  • Performs all duties of Tech I and is qualified to set up and operate fill equipment independently in an aseptic environment.
  • Demonstrates aseptic techniques and can operate and monitor final container lyophilization, heat treatment, pasteurization, and cold box.
  • Prepares and labels samples, interprets information from support systems, and trains less experienced technicians.
  • Maintains aseptic gowning qualification and media fill certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good math and mechanical aptitude, experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred, ability to work in aseptic environments, team player, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable of continuous standing, walking, and bending. Overtime and off-shift work may be required.

Minimum Requirements
  • One year of experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or production manufacturing in a regulated industry or
  • Graduation from an accredited college/university with relevant degree or completion of the Bioworks Certification Program.
  • For Tech II, at least one year of experience as an Aseptic Filling Technician.
Work Environment and Additional Info

Work involves exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, machinery, noise, and confined spaces, with PPE required. Physical activities include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching. Good communication skills are essential.
