Job summary

Fagron US is seeking an Aseptic Filling Supervisor to lead aseptic filling operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in a regulated environment.

You will supervise operators, enforce cGMP, review batch records, coach staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and achieve Right First Time goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical manufacturing practices.
  • Experience supervising in a regulated pharma manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, coach, and lead employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and on-the-floor leadership for aseptic filling operators and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure employees follow cGMP requirements, SOPs, batch records, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Manage employee performance, attendance, and conduct; provide coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Review and approve electronic timekeeping records for direct reports.
  • Conduct and document performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Collaborate with New Product Development and cross-functional teams to review processes and production requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing activities to achieve Right First Time (RFT) and other metrics; reduce errors and deviations.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing deviations in partnership with Quality.

About The Job

The Aseptic Filling Supervisor is responsible for providing hands‑on leadership and oversight of aseptic filling operations to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient manufacture of pharmaceutical products. This role supervises aseptic filling personnel, supports daily manufacturing activities, and ensures operations are performed in accordance with cGMP, approved procedures, manufacturing schedules, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision and on‑the‑floor leadership for aseptic filling operators and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure employees consistently follow cGMP requirements, SOPs, batch records, safety procedures, and applicable company policies.
  • Manage employee performance, attendance, and conduct in accordance with company policies; provide coaching, feedback, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Review and approve electronic timekeeping records for direct reports.
  • Conduct and document employee performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Partner with New Product Development and other cross‑functional teams to review manufacturing processes, batch records, and production requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing activities to achieve Right First Time (RFT) and other operational performance metrics by identifying and reducing errors, deviations, and recurring issues.
  • Support timely investigation, correction, and resolution of manufacturing errors and deviations in partnership with Quality and other appropriate departments.
  • Review and maintain adherence to production and manufacturing schedules, escalating issues that may impact product delivery or operational performance.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reconciliation, and consumption of components and materials within the ERP system to support inventory accuracy and manufacturing traceability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve aseptic filling processes, reduce waste and errors, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, pharmaceutical, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing practices, preferably within an aseptic or sterile manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, coach, and lead employees in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
