Job summary

Kia of Old Saybrook is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a broad range of vehicle systems at our dealership.

You will perform test drives, use advanced diagnostic tools, and collaborate with Service Advisors to provide accurate labor estimates and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing automotive systems across engines, transmissions, electrical, and HVAC.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and test equipment for accurate repairs.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication with advisors and technicians.
• Able to estimate labor time and suggest additional services.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and commitment to safety guidelines.
• ASE Master Technician or Factory Trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform all work on repair orders per dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Conduct test-drives and evaluate vehicle systems with diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair complex automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate findings and labor estimates, and recommend additional services when necessary.
• Execute warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Uphold safety protocols and standards to minimize vehicle downtime.
