Job summary

Cline Tours is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic to support its school bus and motorcoach fleet in Southaven, Mississippi. Perform PMIs, diagnostics, repairs, and roadside service while ensuring safety standards and DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates have heavy-duty diesel experience with Cummins/air brake knowledge and ASE/ OEM certifications. Path includes safety-driven maintenance, record-keeping, and possible on-call work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
• EPA 608 Technician Certification required.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL within six months of employment.
• DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, air brakes, steering, suspension, and emissions systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and routine maintenance services.
• Change oil, filters, fluids, belts, hoses, batteries, and other service items.
• Assist senior technicians with engines, brakes, suspension, and HVAC repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools to perform basic diagnostics and verify repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and document repair needs; maintain repair orders.
