Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking an Auto Maintenance Technician II (Union) to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles. The role operates Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential for weekend and holiday work as needed.

Requirements include 2–3 years of vehicle service and repair experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma is preferred, and ongoing training is expected to stay current with technology and fleet changes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma preferred.
State or ASE Certifications required.
Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
2-3 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
Must be able to workdays, afternoons, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Must continue training to maintain current State Certification status and to meet with technology and fleet changes.

Responsibilities

Perform Preventive Maintenance such as oil changes, oil/filter, fuel filter, battery, transmission flush, and vehicle inspections.
Perform some more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication.
Repair and maintain systems including brakes, tune-ups, suspension, electrical, interior/exterior components, engine and drive train components.
Keep the shop area clean and safe; comply with safety standards; dispose of fluids and materials properly.
Work on advanced diagnostics for hybrids and on-board computer systems; adapt to fleet changes.
