Job summary

Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet Columbus is seeking an automotive service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems. You will work with a skilled team to ensure quality repairs and timely completion, while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include 2+ years of experience, ASE certification, a HS diploma, and strong problem-solving skills. You’ll operate diagnostic tools and stay current with new technologies in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• ASE Certification required.
• HS diploma or equivalent and B level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and basic computer skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Perform regular inspections to identify faults and potential problems
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Communicate with Service Advisor about repairs and estimates
• Collaborate with teammates to complete projects efficiently
• Participate in training to stay up-to-date on new technologies and equipment
