Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision. You’ll handle oil, fluids, tires, brakes, and suspension, and assist senior techs as you build your skills.

Valid driver’s license and at least 2 years of auto repair experience or coursework with certifications are required, plus at least 1 ASE certification (2 more possible in year one).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.
• Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal technical supervision.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs.
• Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as you build your skills.
• Maintain vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and ensure vehicles are ready for customers.
