Job summary

Avis Budget Group International in Irving, TX is seeking an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles. You’ll work with minimal supervision, handling oil changes, tires, brakes, and suspension to keep vehicles safe and available for customers.

You will support senior technicians, build ASE certs, and have on-the-job training. A valid driver’s license, 2 years of experience or coursework, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work.
• Contribute to vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and ensure vehicles are ready for customers.
