Job summary

Avis Budget Group International is seeking an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Charlotte, NC. You will perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision, including oil changes, brakes, suspension, and related services.

You may assist senior technicians as you grow your skills, while contributing to vehicle reliability and on-time customer readiness. A strong tool set and ASE certification are preferred, with on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Knowledge of ASE areas including engine repair, drivetrain/axles, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical, HVAC, engine performance, and light vehicle/diesel.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Position requires on-site presence, not remote.
• OEM experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• As an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech), perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Responsibilities include oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs based on experience.
• Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work to build skills.
