Job summary

Swickard Toyota in Gresham, OR is seeking an ASE-certified technician for Toyota vehicle service. The role offers flat-rate pay and advancement through ASE and Toyota credentials in a modern, well-equipped shop.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing across systems, completing accurate repair orders, and conducting thorough inspections. Must have at least 1 year of flat-rate experience, a valid license, and strong craftsmanship mindset.

Qualifications

• ASE certification is required.
• 1+ year of flat-rate technician experience at a franchised dealership.
• Toyota experience strongly preferred; other import brands acceptable.
• Solid foundation in automotive diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to use Toyota Techstream or similar diagnostic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis and repair on Toyota vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, and beyond -- using Toyota diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate findings clearly to service advisors to support accurate guest recommendations
• Stay current on Toyota technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift
• Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline
