Blain's Farm & Fleet is seeking a Service Center Automotive Technician in Michigan. You will perform a wide range of automotive services in our Service Center, including tire repair, oil changes, brake work and electrical/system checks.

Strong customer service, valid driver’s license, and evening/weekend availability are required. ASE certifications for Michigan stores are preferred, and prior auto repair or retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Michigan stores only: ASE A4/A6 for Tech II; ASE A3/A4/A5/A6 for Tech III (or equivalent Michigan certifications).
• Prior auto repair experience preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Excellent customer service.
• Repair and install tires.
• Balance wheels.
• Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts.
• Perform oil changes.
• Brake system repair.
• Repair starting and charging systems.
• Steering and suspension work.
• Shock/strut installation.
• Alignments.
• Installation of trailer hitches and wiring.
• Other duties with progressive on the job training.
