Job summary

Blain's Farm & Fleet is seeking an Automotive Service Center Technician to perform a wide range of automotive services and duties at our service center. The role offers benefits after 91 days of full-time employment and opportunities for advancement through advanced leadership programs.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $23.00 per hour, with Saturday and Sunday weekend premium pay of $2.50 per hour. ASE certifications are preferred/required for levels II and III in Michigan stores only.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service.
• Repair and install tires.
• Balance wheels.
• Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts.
• Perform oil changes.
• Brake system repair.
• Repair starting and charging systems.
• Steering and suspension.
• Shock/strut installation.
• Alignments.
• Installation of trailer hitches and wiring.
• Other duties assigned with progressive on the job training.
