Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is hiring for an Automotive Service Center Technician. You will perform a wide range of automotive services in our service center, including tire installation, oil changes, brake repair, wheel balancing, and more, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 - $23.00/hr, with weekend premium pay of $2.50 per hour. Benefits begin after 91 days for full-time associates and include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Michigan Stores Only ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III ORequivalentMichigan certifications.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service.
• Repair and install tires.
• Balance wheels.
• Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts.
• Perform oil changes.
• Brake system repair.
• Repair starting and charging systems.
• Steering and Suspension.
• Shock/strut installation.
• Alignments.
• Installation of trailer hitches and wiring.
• Other duties assigned with progressive on the job training.
