As The ASE Automotive Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner. You will work alongside the store manager in ensuring shop performance and manage your work schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide fast and friendly customer service
2. Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers
3. Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers
4. Keep Manager informed of any maintenance problems and/or any issues that need attention
5. Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
6. Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires and properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace various filters and lights
7. Maintain a clean environment, tools and equipment, using company guidelines
8. Know and adhere to company policies and procedures
9. Utilize and perform all duties on the company checklists to meet consistent adherence to policies, procedures and expectations
10. Perform Alignments, Inspections, and Repair various automotive components and systems
11. Safely operate vehicle lifts and other equipment needed to complete servicing
12. Troubleshoot and perform non routine repairs and aid others if needed.
13. Take lead in the shop and ensure customers vehicles are repaired and serviced to store standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. ASE Certification
2. Diesel Experience is a plus
3. Must have own tools
4. Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
5. Reliable transportation to work
6. Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
7. Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
8. Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
9. Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
10. Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
11. Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
12. Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
13. Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
14. Willingness to work with Owner and Store manager to complete services with a focus on quality and in a timely manner.
15. A Proven record of service and leadership
