Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair and service vehicles with focus on quality and safety. ASE certification or substantial hands-on shop experience is required, along with the ability to obtain a Missouri State Inspector license.

A valid driver’s license and strong diagnostic skills are essential. Typical duties include wheel alignments, tire services, brakes, inspections, steering and suspension work, and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

ASE certifications or 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation.
Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general maintenance.
Perform Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
Collaborate with team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.
