Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Of Central Florida is seeking a full-time paraprofessional to support teachers in planning and delivering classroom activities and lessons at Unlocking Positive Behavior - Orlando, FL. You will provide individual and small group instruction and assist with daily living activities.

You will supervise students, support behavior management, and collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment. CPI training and ASD experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year paraprofessional experience with ASD/behavior challenges.
• Experience collecting behavior data and implementing IEP/BIP.
• CPI training current.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with planning and implementing classroom activities and lessons.
• Provide individual and small group instruction to students in academic and social emotional areas.
• Supervise students during lunch, break, and recess periods.
• Assist with student behavior management and conflict resolution.
• Collect behavior data and support in implementing behavior plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Assist with daily living activities (i.e. toileting).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
