Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Technician in Austin, TX to maintain cleanliness, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and reusable supplies in the SPD area. The role requires attention to safety, quality, and compliance with center policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and an ASC-related certificate or equivalent experience. CPR certification is required and must be maintained during employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three or more months related experience and/or training.
• CPR certification required and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, prep, and sterilize surgical instruments and reusable supplies.
• Maintain SPD area and monitor chemicals used in sterilization.
• Follow Instructions For Use (IFU) from manufacturers for SPD items.
• Maintain accurate tray lists and inventory stock; alert if missing items.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination around the surgical timetable.
