Qualifications

• HIPAA knowledge and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the order and cleanliness of the surgery center environment, supplies and instruments.
• Assists in the transportation of patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Prepares for surgical cases by providing the proper instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.
• May assist in assessing, ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies.
• Provides necessary material, supplies, instruments and equipment in good working order for the completion of the surgical procedure.
• Disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces.
• Understanding basic ocular pharmacology; names of meds and their uses.
• Follows sterile technique protocols when appropriate.
