Job description

Job Description Summary We are seeking strategic, customer-focused Cardiovascular (CV) Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Market Development Leaders to accelerate growth across the ambulatory surgery center market. Each position will cover the East, Central, or Western U.S. and will identify, shape, and advance high-value ASC opportunities within the assigned region by engaging executive stakeholders, developing account and market strategies, and coordinating the full breadth of GE HealthCare capabilities around customer needs. The role serves as the commercial orchestrator for complex opportunities, partnering with regional sales teams, product specialists, solution architects, marketing, finance, operations, and external ecosystem partners from early development through sales handoff and close.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • Regional Market and Opportunity Development: Build and execute a development plan for the assigned region. Identify priority markets, accounts, projects, partners, and new opportunities across cardiovascular and broader multi-modality CV ASC needs.
  • Strategic Account Development: Develop executive relationships with CV ASC owners, operators, health systems, physician groups, private equity sponsors, management service organizations, developers, consultants, architects, and construction partners.
  • Commercial Orchestration: Serve as the central development lead for complex CV ASC opportunities and align account executives, product specialists, solution architects, service, finance, applications, project management, and other stakeholders around one customer strategy.
  • Discovery and Solution Shaping: Lead early-stage discovery covering the customer business model, clinical strategy, facility plan, timeline, capital approach, and decision process. Coordinate tailored, scalable solutions reflecting customer needs and GE HealthCare portfolio capabilities.
  • Pipeline Creation and Advancement: Create, maintain, and advance a healthy regional pipeline of qualified CV ASC opportunities with clear milestones, stakeholders, risks, competitive position, next steps, and ownership.
  • Sales Partnership and Handoff: Partner with regional and account sales leaders throughout the pursuit. Define a clear transition from development to sales execution while preserving strategy, executive alignment, and customer continuity.
  • Ecosystem and Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with partners that influence CV ASC planning, development, financing, construction, management, and clinical operations.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor outpatient migration, regulatory and reimbursement developments, competitive activity, ownership changes, and new facility development, converting insights into regional commercial actions.
  • Business Management and Governance: Maintain account plans, pursuit strategies, pipeline data, forecasts, and activity metrics. Communicate progress, barriers, resource needs, and market insights through regular operating reviews.
  • Growth and Commercial Outcomes: Contribute to assigned operating-plan objectives through qualified pipeline generation, opportunity progression, strategic positioning, and support of CV ASC orders and revenue growth.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years or a minimum of 8 years of selling, business development, market development, consulting, or promotion experience in medical technology, healthcare, a technical field, or life sciences. Proven success developing complex healthcare opportunities and building relationships with executive-level stakeholders. Experience working in or with ambulatory surgery centers, cardiovascular care, healthcare systems, physician groups, medical technology, or related healthcare services. Ability to develop and execute account and regional market strategies in a highly matrixed organization. Strong business acumen connecting customer strategy, clinical needs, facility planning, capital priorities, and commercial solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities, influence without direct authority, and drive cross-functional accountability. Ability to travel within the assigned region, up to 60% and located within one hour of a major airport.

Desired Characteristics

Firsthand ASC experience working with an MSO, private equity, or IDN-owned ASC, or current experience serving on an ASC-focused team. Deep knowledge of the ASC market, outpatient migration, and the stakeholders involved in planning, building, financing, equipping, and operating an ASC. Established relationships with ASC operators, MSOs, private equity firms, IDNs, physician groups, developers, consultants, architects, or management organizations. Experience with cardiovascular, imaging, ultrasound, patient monitoring, anesthesia, digital, service, or multi-modality healthcare solutions. Ability to lead structured discovery, build an executive-level value proposition, and translate strategy into a disciplined pursuit plan. Strong analytical, project-management, and problem-solving skills. Collaborative leadership style with success aligning sales, marketing, product, finance, operations, and service teams.
