Eco Safe Abatement is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Abatement Worker to join our growing team in Portland, Oregon. We are dedicated to providing environmentally responsible abatement services and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Position: Abatement Worker

Location: Denver, Colorado

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Safely remove and dispose of hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, etc.) from buildings and structures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
  • Prepare work areas by setting up containment barriers, ventilation, and decontamination units
  • Use hand and power tools for material removal and site preparation
  • Package and label hazardous waste for transport and disposal
  • Maintain accurate documentation of abatement processes and waste disposal
  • Clean and decontaminate work sites, tools, and equipment using HEPA vacuums and approved methods
  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, for extended periods
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, safety managers, and project managers to ensure project goals and safety standards are met
  • Perform occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and other physically demanding tasks
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

  • Additional certifications in hazardous materials handling (e.g., OSHA, lead safety, HAZWOPER)
  • Experience with air monitoring and environmental compliance reporting
  • Familiarity with a variety of abatement projects (residential, commercial, industrial)
