Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Asbestos and Lead Inspector/Monitor for the Regulated Building Materials and Industrial Hygiene team in the Los Angeles area. The role involves field inspections, abatement monitoring, air sampling, and onsite analysis, with travel across Southern California.

The candidate must hold a CA CSST asbestos credential and a CA Lead Sampling Technician credential, and will work from LA or Irvine offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting environment with lead-paint, hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality, mold evaluations, and ventilation system assessments.
• California CSST asbestos credential is required; Lead Sampling Technician credential preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; AS/BS preferred in related fields.
• CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor/Project Monitor certification preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and OSHA 30-hour Construction certifications desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, abatement monitoring/oversight, air sampling and onsite analysis for asbestos and lead projects.
• Conduct IAQ/mold investigations and building characterization, with thorough documentation.
• Prepare detailed field notes, sampling summaries, and reports.
• Travel to project locations in Southern California; long-distance travel and overnights may be required.
• Interact with project managers, contractors, consultants, and client personnel to ensure on-time performance.
