Job summary

Hydro-Environmental Technologies, Inc. (HETI) is seeking an experienced Asbestos Inspector / Asbestos Project Designer to join our Metro Boston / New England team.

The role supports asbestos inspection, design, and monitoring across Massachusetts and nearby states. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience, current MA licensure, and certifications as an Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Project Designer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of asbestos inspection, abatement design and project oversight.
• Must hold MA license and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Current certifications as Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Project Designer
• HAZWOPER certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong knowledge of federal/state asbestos regulations

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos inspections and surveys per regulations.
• Develop abatement design documents, specs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct air monitoring and clearance sampling for abatement projects.
• Monitor and oversee abatement contractors.
• Collect bulk samples and coordinate lab analysis.
• Prepare technical reports, abatement plans, and regulatory docs.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA/state regulatory compliance.
• Support additional environmental/industrial hygiene tasks as needed.
• Travel throughout New England as project needs arise.
