Peerless Environmental is hiring an Asbestos Abatement Technician to safely identify, contain, remove, and dispose of asbestos materials in varied environments. The role emphasizes OSHA/EPA compliance, PPE use, and accurate documentation while supporting remediation efforts for mold and lead when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in asbestos abatement or related environmental services preferred.
• Asbestos certification/licensing preferred or obtainable upon hire.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA regulations and hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sites and identify asbestos and hazardous materials.
• Set up containment, negative air systems, and decontamination zones.
• Safely remove, encapsulate, transport, and dispose of asbestos materials.
• Comply with OSHA/EPA regulations and company policies.
• Wear PPE and conduct air monitoring as required.
• Operate remediation equipment and maintain logs and reports.
