Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an Asbestos Abatement Coordinator for Los Angeles, CA. You will support LAUSD projects, conduct surveys, sampling, and prepare assessment reports and abatement design, while the actual removal is done by a specialized contractor.

Responsibilities include coordinating with facilities, preparing Phase 1 surveys, Phase 2 designs, reviewing Phase 3 monitoring reports, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5 years construction/enviro experience OR 2 years plus CSST/CAS; or CAS certification.
• AHERA, EPA Lead RRP, and CDPH Lead certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Phase 1 site assessments and Phase 2 abatement designs.
• Review Phase 1–3 reports for accuracy and progress.
• Plan methods to mitigate asbestos and lead in projects.
• Prepare estimates, reports, and tracking updates; use Maximo.
