  • Set up, implement, and clean up indoor and outdoor activities

  • Participate actively in ASAP activities - you're not just watching; you're playing, creating, and engaging alongside students

  • Support enrichment programming by transporting students to classes, monitoring sign-ins, and ensuring smooth transitions

Who You Are

You bring:

  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in any capacity (childcare, teaching, coaching, camp counseling, babysitting, etc.)

  • Reliability and punctuality - you show up on time, every time, ready to work

  • Strong communication skills - you can talk with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and respectfully

  • Ability to enforce rules with kindness - you're firm but warm, maintaining boundaries while building trust

You are:

  • Kid-focused – You genuinely enjoy spending time with elementary-aged children and find their energy contagious rather than exhausting

  • Playful and engaging – You're willing to get on the floor, join a game of tag, build with LEGOs, or help with an art project - you don't just supervise from the sidelines

  • Inclusive and welcoming – You make sure every child feels seen, valued, and included, regardless of their background, abilities, or interests

  • Calm under pressure – You can handle the controlled chaos of 50+ energetic kids with patience and good humor

  • Flexible and adaptable – You can pivot quickly when plans change, help wherever you're needed, and don't get flustered by the unexpected

  • Team-oriented – You collaborate well with colleagues, communicate openly, and pitch in without being asked

  • Assertive and self-motivated – You take initiative, solve problems proactively, and don't need constant direction

  • Resourceful – You can think on your feet, make do with what's available, and find creative solutions

  • Professional – You maintain appropriate boundaries, model positive behavior, and represent Lovett well to families

  • Dependable – Your teammates and students can count on you to show up, follow through, and do your part

You have:

  • A positive attitude even on challenging days

  • Energy and stamina to keep up with active children for 4+ hours

  • Patience with repetitive questions, minor conflicts, and the developmental realities of childhood

  • Cultural awareness and commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all students
