Job summary

Spring Leaf Solutions in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Temporary Substance Use Assessor. This role is critical in supporting the substance use treatment program by completing thorough assessments and developing initial treatment plans for clients.

The candidate will collaborate with clinical leadership and maintain compliance with health care standards. This is a temporary position with a potential transition to a full-time role based on performance.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working in an in-office environment.
• Strong understanding of co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Ability to make clinically appropriate recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive substance use assessments for clients.
• Conduct ASAM-based clinical evaluations to determine client needs.
• Ensure all assessment packages are complete and submitted timely.

Skills

Independently complete ASAM documentation

Experience with ASAM Level 1 and Level 2.1

Understanding of substance use disorders

Knowledge of SBIRT and motivational interviewing

Experience in clinical assessment

Education

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
